I'm Timothy Thackston, owner of Thackston & Associates — a Westminster, MD accounting firm located on Main Street. Our goal has always been to offer personalized tax and accounting without the big-firm price tag.
My parents, Michael and Rosemarie Thackston, founded the firm in September 1986. Over the years the firm has grown steadily, serving individuals and businesses throughout Maryland with timely tax returns, bookkeeping, and business advisory services.
I purchased the firm in 2022, developing it into a full fledged accounting, tax, and consulting firm.
Like Michael and Rosemarie, I proudly serve clients in my local communities throughout Carroll County, Frederick County, Howard County, and beyond.


My passion for accounting is rooted in my passion for helping people succeed. After becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), I knew I wanted to improve my family's a practice that served the community I proudly call home.
